We can’t go to a new city without finding that special donut spot, and for Santa Barbara that is Hook&Press. We grabbed a few donuts (my favorite being the Boston Cream) and a breakfast sandwich. The donuts were great flavored and then adding the glaze/toppings, brought to next level. The sandwich was fresh and flavorful also, highlighting each of its ingredients. Special thing we didn’t realize until after we ate, there are small turtles and fish in the fountains just next to their outdoor seating.

Cosy doughnut and coffee shop with great service and atmosphere. We got a box of 6, all decent with a wide range of flavors, but they were all a bit bland and too sweet too my taste. Still worth a visit!

This is a very cool place with a nice atmosphere. The new food was good and the special drinks were good too. Overall, recommended. There's nice sun coming in and nice music. Also a vegan savory option. Not to busy on a Sunday

Fantastic experience and fantastic flavors! Fun different flavors to try which is a nice change from just generic flavors. Staff seemed a little overwhelmed and not cohesive but nice. The environment was nice and the bathrooms were clean, smelled good and spunky! I took a pic of their wallpaper as it was so fun! They pay close attention to detail in all areas!

We tried Hook & Press based on our hotel's recommendation. The bakery is very large with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We got the brown butter and Grinch donuts (pistachio glaze and cardamom pastry cream) and an egg nog latte and peanut butter cup latte. Between the donuts, the Grinch was my favorite. The flavor in the brown butter was too subtle for me. Pistachio and cardamom really came through on the Grinch donut. The donuts were not as soft and fluffy as I would have expected but I wonder if that is due to us coming later in the day - around 12:30 pm. However, we both really enjoyed our lattes. I would come back for the peanut butter cup latte and give the donuts another shot if it was closer to opening time.
